This spring saw some exceptional fragrance releases. I put together this luxury fragrance guide to bring three of my absolute favourite scents released this spring that would delight collectors and true fragrance censures. If sent can transform how you feel or bring back distance memories you should at least once try some of the best perfumes. A luxury scent has a different weight to it. It’s like being wrapped in intoxicating cloud. Are you ready for some of the best smells of the season?
Noble VII Feminine Edition – Clive Christian.
Clive Christian is a true fragrance master. He takes the time to encapsulate his ideas. He works on his scents for months sometimes years. I first made a careful note of his scents when shopping at Harrods a few years ago. Perfumes he makes are full of rare and delicately selected ingredients to achieve perfect blends of supreme elegance and quality. The Noble VII Feminine Edition features two scents Rock Rose and Cosmos Flower. Clive Christian draw inspiration for those fragrances from the Queen Ann period. The early 18th-century fashion for exotic flowers gave Christian some space to encapsulate rare and exotic blends.
Clive Christian about this collection:
Nobel VII The first pair of Perfumes, celebrating the glory of the Queen Anne period, Inspired by a place that is deeply precious to me, exquisite perfumes of noble birth, they are truly extraordinary and yet unapologetically British.
I found Clive Christan gourmand scents utterly irresistible; which shouldn’t surprise me as at their core are some of my favourite fragrance notes. Cosmos Flower is more feminine than the Rock Rose. I find it sweet and floral, understated but detectable. My absolute favourite is Rock Rose; wich is quite a masculine when you first spray it. It doesn’t surprise me that I like it more, as I always find more intense, potent smells are more appealing to me. If you’re a censure, you’ll know that exquisite scent doesn’t have sex, just wear what you love. Rock and Rose, has that intensity and a freshness that we learned to expect from a man’s scent. When I wear it for a little while the unexpected softer, slightly powdery notes of the fragrance are starting to come through. I wish I had a bottle in my collection, not a sample.
They will make an exceptional gift, but I see them more like that one scent to remember. The one you never forget you had or always have on your dresser.

Alien Musc Mysterieux – Mugler
This April Mugler reviled Alien Musc Mysterieux, a fragrance inspired by musk, which I had to include in this luxury fragrance guide. Again exceptional fragrance that pays tribute to a precious raw ingredient. It has maintained the original signature of Alien Eau de Parfum which has distinctive not of jasmine, cashmeran wood and white must. (Looks like jasmine and intense woody notes are in some of my favourite scents). Angel Musc Mysterieux reveals new musk note which is intensified by vanilla and saffron. Musc, initially of animal origin nowadays is recreated thanks to advanced technology.
Don’t be fooled this is a mysterious and very sensual scent, created by the nose behind the original Alien Eau de Parum. When I spray this scent, I feel sexy it very moreish too.
Alien Musc Mysterious comes as 90ml Eau de Parfum at £115 and is available only at Selfridges or Mugler website.
Citron Fig – Clean Reserved – The sustainable fragrance
The CLEAN RESERVE collection is a result of collaboration between three of the world’s top fragrance houses chosen because of their commitment to sustainability. I wanted to include it in my luxury fragrance guide because it’s beautiful but also unique in its approach to sent and how we should experience it. Each formula has been crafted using a blend of pure ingredients. All ingredients are sourced in an environmentally and socially responsible way. Do you know that CLEAN RESERVE manufactures their fragrances in the facility that uses 100% solar energy? I don’t either, but I like that.

Wear your CLEAN RESERVE fragrance alone or mix them together to create your bespoke scent. There are eleven scents in the collection. I’ve been able to try Citron Fig, which I adore, but wouldn’t say no to some other like fragrances. I have my eyes on one called Skin, which is inspired by the feeling of a warm embrace and loving touch. I just love the way it sounds and if it smells like I can wrap myself in it, I know I’d love it too.
You can find CLEAN RESERVE fragrances at Space NK. Eau de Parfum cost £79 for a 100ml.
I’ve learned now some of my favourite ingredients, and at times it still surprises me how one moment I love warm, woody and intoxicating scent like Alien next I fall for something fresh and crisp.
