Clarins will always bring out something lovely for summer. This time I picked a few products from Clarins Summer Makeup collection, which I fell in love from the first use. I find myself choosing them over my usual options especially during hotter summer days.
The lip oil!
Let’s take a moment to appreciate this non-sticky textured Instant Lip Comfort Oil, which nourishes your lips and softly enhances your lip colour. This is more skincare for your lips than makeup, however it does give you luscious looking lips. One of my most favourite products from this summer collection. It contains hazelnut oil, annatto oil and organic jojoba oils. The new shade is called 03 red berry. It costs £19 and you can get it here.
Double Fix’ Mascara
Makeup in a pool might not be my cup of tea but I don’t like smudged mascara even if it’s just from the heat either.
This product launched with a new improved formula, it’s a transparent top coat, which turns any mascara waterproof. Double Fix’ Mascara worked wonders on top of one of my mascaras, which would smudge all over my eyes if worn alone. It works so it’s a yes from me.
Limited Edition Waterproof Eyeshadow.
Limited Edition Waterproof Eyeshadows in may opinion are the main feature of Clarins Summer Makeup collection this season. This shimmering eyeshadow can be worn as a delicate wash of colour if you lightly blend it with your fingers. Build more or use eyeshadow brush to crate intense metallic effect. Just like the Double Fix Mascara also the eyeshadows are infused with bitter orange tree wax, which helps to create a protective shield agains water and humidity.
Available in 4 shades: 01 Golden Peach, 02 Golden Sand, 03 Silver Taupe, 04 Copper Brown. A small amount goes a long way, I’m sure this small tube will last longer then the summer. They retail at £18 and you can find them here.
Fix’ Make-Up
Last but not the least the Fix’ Make-Up mist. A true summer must have. This ultra fine, cooling mist sets make-up by forming an invisible, fixing vail over the face. But Clarins wouldn’t be Clarins if they haven’t boosted the power of a mist! Fix’ Make-Up is infused with ingredients to enhance its powers, so it also acts as an urban shield thanks to an Anti- Pollution Complex. There’s aloe vera to encourage water retention and allantoin to sooth. And it smells divine too, of roses! As much as I like it to fix and to refresh my makeup I find there is an element of pleasure to it too. I spritz it at times because it makes me feel good not because I must. Clarins suggests keeping in the fridge for extra cooling spritz.
