Oxford- the new fragrance for anyone who likes to be unique.

Ruth Mastenbroek Oxford

Ruth Mastenbroek is the only British female perfumer, who has independently launched her own range of fine fragrances. Oxford is the third in the range and it launched earlier on this month.

Ruth has been creating fine fragrances for over 30 years. She’s worked with many British brands including Jo Malone and Kenneth.

Oxford is inspired by her times as a Chemistry undergraduate in Oxford in the 1970’s. Ruth wanted to capture this scent with the essence of discovery, a feeling of self awareness and learning.

Ruth says;

Oxford is inspired by the French cigarette brand Gitanes – chic, rough, and exotic. Oxford captures that moment in life when you discover you can make your own choices, you can make mistakes. It is your life and no one else’s.

I can detect herbs in it more than anything. It’s quite powerful at first on my skin, but it softens and becomes more intergral as the time goes on.

Top Notes: Bergamot, Galbanum, Basil

Heart Notes: Clary sage, Rosemary, Jasmine

Base Notes: Amber, Vanilla, Vetivert, Oudh

This scent is exclusive to Fenwick of Bond Street. In the future you might find it in small independent boutiques too. This makes it unique and one to check if you’d like to have your very own scent.

Oxford is an EDP and it comes in 50ml for £60 and 100ml for £80.
