Just as the weather is getting warmer Clarins is launching its new makeup collection for summer 2015. The Aquatic Treasures collection with a mix of rich gold, bronze and iridescent shades. This combination of shades and textures will illuminate, giving a glowing complexion.
The return of the hero
Clarins Summer Bronzing Compact is back! Beautiful as always, this year with four shades; from beige to terracotta, to compliment all skin tones. This year round, Clarins added some rather superb ingredients to create this superhero. Your bronzing powder has now an Anti-Pollution Complex, Light Optymizing Complex even Plant Micropatch. The latest being an ingredient that helps to maintain skin’s natural hydration. It’s my third Clarins Summer Bronzing powder and I can’t tell you how much I like them. It’s big and lasts me all year round. The beautiful texture ads warmth to the complexion and you wont even notice any powder on your skin. For me it’s a win and a summer makeup bag must have.
Radiance Boosting Complexion Base
This summers Limited Edition Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Base not only smooths, hydrates and protects but it’ll illuminate giving a healthy glow and colour in an instant. It comes in two shades, 04 Apricot best for very pale or pink toned skin and 05 Golden Bronze for all other skin tones. I was worried how I’ll get along with this tanned version of the Radiance Boosting Complexion Base because of my fair complexion, I used it sparingly at the start but found it easy to blend. A little goes a long way and you really don’t need much of it at all. I’d say a pump is more than enough for the face and neck. It’s much easier to create a bronzed look that looks natural on fair skin with this primer than it is to use just a bronzer in a powder form and warm toned blushers. Again you’ll find that Clarins has infused it with Anti-Pollution Complex to protect your skin.
Iridescent eye shadow for gem like eyes
Cream – to – powder eyeshadows were an absolute success last year, so with excitement we welcomed 2 shades for this summer season. Those two iridescent eyeshadows have a metallic finish. You’ll find two shades; 02 Aquatic Rose, which is a perfect all over the lid shade and then 03 Aquatic Grey, which can be used just to enhance the outer corner of your eyes or for a soft smokey eye. They’re incredibly easy to use as you can easily blend these shadows with your fingers. Their cream – to – powder formula allows you to use makeup brushes too, which is particularly handy if you’re trying to create a more precise look and need more control. Particularly with the darker shade. I’ve been using my eyeshadow in Aquatic Rose every single day since I put my hands on it. It’s just such a wearable shade. It works well with many other eyeshadows I already have. Its rose gold tone make its great base shade, it’ll really nicely enhance your eye colour and blend well with most eyeshadow shades, particularly any warm tones.
This year Clarins summer makeup collection is a little bit smaller than last year. The focus is on the skin and complexion. Smooth, radiant with healthy gold tones. You can complement that look with an equally beautiful body, that will glisten in the sun thanks to the limited Edition After Sun Body Oil with gold particles.
