After a whole week of rain this weekend, the sun finally came out and I totally got into the summer mood wanting to wear summer clothes. I was cheerful and happy despite getting up at 5:30am on Sunday morning and I felt that if I could just fly off, I probably would have flown somewhere hot and sunny and walked bare feet on the beach.
But I’m in London and as far as I am concerned it’s still too chilly to attempt wearing any summer clothes, therefore I thought I’d better get my body summer ready instead. I haven’t recently spoke much about products so I’m doing a little catch up this month.
I’d like to start with Sugar Crush Body Scrub by Soap & Glory as it’s one of my most favourite body products. I discovered it probably about 3 years ago and I continue use it and buy it. Here is what I like about it.
It’s a body scrub that really does a great job. It’s thick as it’s made of sugar and seeds therefore all of it is a scrub not just bits of exfoliating grains in a cream. (I’m not the biggest fan of these types of body scrubs). So, what’s in it? Well… its made up of smashed brown sugar, sweet lime, almond oil and macadamia grains. It also contains sea salt, Castor seed oil (for purifying).
I picked only a few of the ingredients from the list, just the ones that may give you more of an idea what this product is like.
If I want it to work harder, I use it on dryer skin, the more water you add the softer it’ll become as the sugar and salt melts. I find that with this product you can really exfoliate dry skin and smooth it out at the same time as the sugar grains become smaller as you massage. It is also fragrant with citrusy smell that really wakes you up and makes you feel refreshed.
I think it’s also well priced. It’s about £8 for a jar that will last you a good few months with regular use. I think it’s a reasonable price for both the size and quality of the product in comparison to other competitive products available.
