Fake up! – review

Fake up by Benefit

There aren’t many Benefit products in my makeup bag which I use daily. However I did get a little bit excited when ‘Fake Up’ was released, so I took my Boots Advantage Card and got Fake Up in fair.

It’s a combination of a canceler and an eye cream. Yes, you’ve guessed right, it’s the best for under eye area.

The Baukjen Leighton dress.

Leighton Dress - Social Beautify

A day dress was on my wish list but I usually go out shopping rather than surf the web. A couple of dresses did however catch my attention on the Baukjen website. Being encouraged by some lovely service during my styling session I’ve decided to order a dress. The style I’ve chosen was different from what I’d usually go for, but I really wanted something different to what I already have and less formal than most of my dresses.

Nespresso the best coffee maker.

Nespresso coffee maker- S.B
Despite being a tea geek I do love a good cup of coffee now and then. After having a deeper look into all this ‘in home coffee business’ last autumn, I’ve decided to go with Nespresso. I didn’t buy a Nespresso coffee maker then, but I placed it on my wish list.
I was given a lovely new shinny Nespresso coffee machine for my birthday a couple of months ago, I’m one lucky girl. I’ve been using it every day since and I’m loving it.

The Machine.

Nespresso coffee machine itself is easy to use. Once again we can rely on Swiss precision.

BIODERMA Sensibio H2O -review.

Bioderma Sensibio H2O

One of the most know BIODERMA products is micellar water called Sensibio H2O. Despite many other brands introducing micellar water to their range of cleansing products, Sensibio H2O is still scoring top marks among bloggers and beauty writers. This is why I’ve decided to try it out and see if it’s going to impress me as much too.

How to shop for a comfortable pair of heels.

fabulous in high heels_Snapseed
Inspiration for this post came when Holly emailed me asking for some high heel shopping tips. It’s great to know that I’m not the only person who finds most shoes totally uncomfortable. Finding a well made, comfortable pair of heels seems like mission impossible whenever I go shopping. Being a little bit fussy helped me to develop my personal shoe shopping tactics, I hope some of it will be useful for you.

I’m going to sound very old here, but I just don’t buy shoes if they aren’t comfortable. My feet are too important plus a bad pair can really ruin my day. No I’m not perfect in every way! I also get it wrong sometimes like with the snow boots or when I’ve listened to the shop assistant instead of my gut feeling. Most of the time I’m good though. Last weekend when I went to look for a pair of comfy flats and couldn’t find anything decent, I didn’t just go and buy any old pair. Hymm… I came back home with a lovely Reiss skirt instead. I’d like to point out that a skirt was also on my shopping list just not at the top of it. That’s allowed..No?

Back to business now. Here are my 6 must follow shoe shopping tips:

Trying to catch spring at the Columbia Road flower market.

Columbia Rd. flower sign

It's been dull now for so long, so when the sun finally and kindly poked through the clouds on Sunday. I couldn't miss the opportunity! I went to the flower market in Columbia Road. I love this place; I go there often in spring, however it was the first time this year I've been. It’s only a small road, a short walk away from the Shoreditch High Street overground station, but it’s packed with a huge variety of cut flowers and lovely pot plants.

Essie magnetic nail polish.

Snake Esse polish

I usually choose quite a classic look when it comes to my nails, but when my favourite nail polish brand Essie launched new magnetic polishes, I had to give it a go.

I love essie because of their great colours, fantastic formula that drys quick and it lasts well.

The result on the nail is similar but not exactly what you may expect by looking at the advertisement. Maybe this is why I was partly disappointed with it at the start. I was expecting perfection from my perfect nail polish brand.

Essie Snake polish

It creates an interesting result but I’d definitely recommend it for real manicure fans. It’s not the easiest thing to do if you’re a little bit clumsy and get your nail vanish everywhere while doing your nails. So here is what I think of the artistic funky version of Essie magnetic nail polish.

BIODERMA arrives into UK.

Cr_aline_Bioderma

If you’re already a fan of BIODERMA you’ll be chuffed to know it’s now available in the UK.

Never heard of it? Let me enlighten you!

BIODERMA is an extremely popular pharmacy cosmetic brand on the continent and has also a lot of fans in the UK.

BIODERMA believes that temporary relief alone is not sufficient in treating most skin problems, therefore it offers corrective and holistic solutions for each skin type. With this belief, over the years the brand developed some amazing products that were never seen before, which later became cult beauty products.

BIODERMA was the first brand to introduce such innovations as:

Sunday Brunch.

Happy Easter Egg

All the things that caught my eye but haven’t made it to the post…yet.

  • Benefit Cosmetics have just launched a new concealer called FakeUP. I may not be WOW’ed by all of Benefit’s products, but this looks really good. It’s a combination of a concealer and eye cream in one. I think it’s great for touch ups during the day, when your under eye area starts to look a bit dryish. I’ve treated myself to one of them with my awesome Boots Advantage Card points and I shall review it in full soon.

Dior BB Cream – review

Dior BB Cream

I’m a bb cream addict and that’s a fact! I’m constantly thriving to achieve a smooth and even complexion that doesn’t show  that there’s a product enhancing its appearance. I’ve tried quite a few different bb creams now. Some I thought were better than others. There’s quite a selection available on the market at the moment. If you haven’t noticed yet, theres kinda a theme for bb creams at the moment. No surprise then that I simply couldn’t resist and had to try the new Dior’s BB Cream from their Diorskin Nude range.
